Mr. Hetfeld is a 2003 graduate of St. Thomas School of Law in Miami and a member in good standing of the Florida Bar, The American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Federal Bar for the Southern and Middle District of Florida.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. 

While in law school he participated in the Bankruptcy Clinic assisting pro bono clients in personal Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings and spent one semester as an intern for Judge A. Jay Cristol of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Florida in Miami. He attended the Twelfth Annual Bankruptcy Skills Workshop sponsored by the University of Miami School of Law.

Prior to opening his own firm, he worked as an associate in a general practice.
